Mad Youth is a gathering of junior high and high school students at Church at Briargate in Colorado Springs.
We gather every Wednesday (7-8:30pm) for worship, teaching from the Bible and encouragement from friends.
1 So let us stop going over the basics of Christianity again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don't need to start all over again with the importance of turning away from evil deeds and placing our faith in God.2 You don't need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding-Heb 6:1-3 (NLT)”
THE COMPLETE STUDENT LOOKS LIKE THIS:
o PURE (“turning away from evil deeds”)-loves Jesus when no one is looking
o PRAYERFUL (“placing our faith in God”)-pursuing a plan for spiritual growth
o SPIRIT-FILLED (“instructions about baptisms”)-souvenirs of real life in God
o SERVING (“instruction about… laying on of hands”)-missionaries not mission fields
o POSITIVE (“instruction about… resurrection”)-part of unshakable Kingdom
o PREPARED (“instruction about… eternal judgment”)-evidence of faith visibly seen
